Biography

Manisha N. Mehta, MBBS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She received her medical degrees from the University of Bombay in Ophthalmology and the Royal College of Ophthalmology London University. Dr. Mehta completed a Post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Schepens Eye Research Institute, then became a Research Fellow in Oculoplastics at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI). She then became a Fellow in Ocular Pathology at Harvard Medical School, MEEI then became a Clinical Research Fellow in Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institute. She then changed track and became a Resident in Pathology at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine (BUSM) followed by a fellowship in Cytopathology at Harvard Medical School at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Finally, she became a fellow in Gastrointestinal pathology and Surgical pathology (combined) at Harvard Medical School. She has academic appointments as an instructor at Harvard Medical School at the Kohane Laboratory at Boston Children’s Hospital along with her appointment as an Assistant Professor at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She also held a hospital appointment as a Staff Cytopathologist at Winchester Hospital. Dr. Mehta is board certified by the American Board of Pathology.
