Biography

Lucy Schulson is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and an Attending Physician in the Sections of General Internal Medicine. She is a practicing primary care doctor in the Immigrant and Refugee Health Center at Boston Medical Center. Her research is focused on how health systems can be improved to address gaps in quality of care and patient safety to improve equity. She earned her B.A. in international development at Brown University and medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she graduated with Honors in Research and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She obtained a Master of Public Heath in health policy and management at the Harvard School of Public Health and completed her internal medicine and primary care residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School. She completed a clinical research fellowship at the Boston University School of Medicine where she conducted health disparities research with a particular focus on patients with limited English proficiency (LEP) and pursued advanced coursework in epidemiology and biostatistics at Boston University School of Public Health.
