Amin Ashrafzadeh, MD’97

Amin has been well-known to the Alumni Association since he stepped on campus. He is a graduate of the MMEDIC program and as a student, he actively raised money at Phonathons, hosted alumni at events such as Alumni Weekend and was an active class leader. He received the BUSM Alumni Award upon graduating in 1997 in recognition of his commitment and community service. Amin did his ophthalmology residency at Boston Medical Center and his fellowship at Tufts Medical Center. Amin is a board-certified ophthalmologist and has a private practice at Modesto Eye Center. He is very active in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and immediate past president of California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.  As an alumni board member, Amin has truly shown up for us, especially during pandemic obstacles.  He recently hosted Career Conversations with medical students and residents virtually and on campus this spring. He has been a key member of the Events Working Group.  Thank you Amin for your dedication and service.
