
Feature Story: New Urologist Appointed
Boston resident Jeremy B. Wiygul, MD, has been appointed to the positions of attending physician in the Department of Urology at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and instructor of urology at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).
Wiygul received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas, and completed his urology residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
Wiygul’s clinical expertise is in general urology and minimally invasive surgery. His research interests include prostate cryosurgery; a treatment for prostate cancer which involves freezing the entire prostate gland through a minimally invasive surgery, and the quality of life outcomes in patients undergoing prostate cryotherapy.
Prior to his appointments, Wiygul was chief resident of urology at Duke University Medical Center.
