First Year Student Appointed to Obesity Society Committee

Anna's White Coat BannerAnnaliese Ionson, a first-year medical student, was recently appointed to serve a three-year term on the Annual Program Committee of the Obesity Society.

The Obesity Society is a national organization committed to improving the lives of those affected by obesity. Within the organization, the Annual Program Committee is responsible for the planning the scientific content of the Society’s annual meeting, “ObesityWeek.”’ Ionson will help to develop conference material for the meeting specifically related to integrative physiology and obesity.

“I am passionate about this area of research and excited for future developments that will improve treatment and outcomes for people struggling with obesity. As a member of the Obesity Society Program Committee, I look forward to expanding my knowledge in this field through exposure to cutting-edge research and meeting the academic and clinical professionals committed to obesity medicine.”
