Candid Dialog on Race Relations, Equity and Inclusion

COM Charlottesville Conversation Aug 17 Ortega and WuzuThe BUSM Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, in collaboration with the BMC Office of Minority Physician Recruitment Affairs and the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR), held an open conversation in the wake of the recent incident in Charlottesville, Va.  “Today’s America: Where Are We Heading?” was held on Thursday, Aug. 17, in the School of Medicine. More than 100 students, residents, faculty and staff participated in a candid dialogue on race relations, equity and inclusion. The conversation was co-moderated by Maria Wusu, MD, Instructor, Family Medicine and Rafael Ortega, BUSM Associate Dean of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs.
