Fourth Year Recognized as Outstanding Medical Student by AMA Foundation

The American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation granted Physicians of Tomorrow Awards to fifteen rising fourth-year medical students across the nation. BUSM’s Matthew Mendes will receive a $10,000 tuition-assistance scholarship. Award recipients were nominated by their medical schools and chosen based upon academic achievement and financial need. The AMA Foundation has awarded over $61 million in scholarships to deserving medical students since 1950. It is dedicated to advancing public health and medical scholarship through philanthropic support of physician-directed initiatives.
