Allison Larson Named Assistant Dean, Academic Affairs

COM Larson_allisonAllison Larson, MD, has been appointed Assistant Dean in the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA).

Larson is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology. She received her MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed a dermatology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital followed by a fellowship in dermatopathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is the course director for the Dermatology Module of the Disease and Therapeutics course in the second year of the medical student curriculum. She also leads skin cancer prevention seminars in Introduction to Clinical Medicine II and is an active lecturer for our dermatology residents. In clinic, Larson teaches both residents and medical students. The 2015 BUMC Dermatology Residency Program Teacher of the Year, she is a field-specific advisor for students applying to dermatology residency and part of the dermatology resident selection committee.
