Tributes and Musical Performance for Carlos Kase

Members of the Medical Campus community gathered on Wednesday, March 30 to pay tribute to the many contributions of Dr. Carlos Kase, who will be stepping down as Chief and Chair of Neurology at BMC and BUSM, after 11 years.  The program featured a performance of South American music by a group from Berklee College of Music.

Drs. Rafael Ortega and Anna Hohler kicked off the evening each providing personal reflections of working with Dr. Kase.

“Carlos, We want to thank you for your leadership, judgement, wisdom.  It’s been a privilege to have you here as our chair,” said BUSM Dean and BUMC Provost Karen Antman.

BMC President and CEO Kate Walsh and Ravin Davidoff, MBBCh, BUSM Professor of Medicine and BMC Sr. Vice President and Chief Medical Officer also gave brief remarks.

The event was hosted by the Office of Diversity, in collaboration with the Department of Neurology.
