Period to be Offered: Three to six months
Description of Elective:
Supervised study and research experiences of from three to six
months, supplemented by student participation in seminars, group discussions, etc.
Each student’s program will be planned individually according to his interests and needs; opportunity exists for experience in a single area of concentration or for “rotations” of shorter duration in several areas. Areas of concentration include: neuropharmacology, clinical pharmacology, psychopharmacology, molecular pharmacology, and pharmacokinetics. Emphasis is placed on acquiring skill in design, execution and interpretation of pharmacologic experiments; the application of pharmacologic information and techniques to solution of clinical problems is stressed.
