BUSM LISTSERV EMAILS

ELECTRONIC MAILING LIST 

As a medical student, you are automatically subscribed to your class year electronic mailing list upon arrival at BUSM to stay informed of class notices, class meetings, events, and to receive communications from the BUSM administration.

Each BUSM student class has an electronic mailing list:  BUSM-2017-list, BUSM-2016-list, etc. You are required to follow  The Conditions of Use Policy: E-mail Communications Boston University School of Medicine “Boston University Conditions of Use and Policy on Computing Ethics”)

In order to send an email to a listserv, you need to gain access. If you would like to be added to any other class listserv at any given time, then follow the instructions below for subscribing and sending to the mailing lists.

**ONLY BU/BMC EMAILS ACCEPTED** (unless postgrad)

 

HOW TO GAIN ACCESS TO ADDITIONAL E-MAILS MAILING LIST

Send an e-mail to majordomo@bu.edu (MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL IS SENT IN PLAIN TEXT.)with the following text in body of email for the appropriate class:

Subscribe busm-2018-list

Subscribe busm-2017-list

Subscribe busm-2016-list

Subscribe busm-2015-list

Do not enter any other information in the e-mail besides what is listed above.  You should receive an automated receipt of your subscription within 48-72 hours.

 

HOW TO SEND E-MAIL TO MEDICAL STUDENT MAILING LISTS

 

Your e-mail address must already be subscribed to the mailing list to which you will be sending your message. Please use the following addresses for the mailing lists (the class year is contained in the address):

 

busm-2018-list@bu.edu

busm-2017-list@bu.edu

busm-2016-list@bu.edu

busm-2015-list@bu.edu

Follow these rules:

1. Always include a descriptive subject in the “Subject” slot of your e-mail.

2. Do not send messages to the mailing lists more than two times.

3. Include a contact person with an e-mail address in your message.

4. Do not use all capital letters for the entire message (these are difficult to read.)

 

HOW TO SEND AN E-MAIL TO OTHER MEDICAL CAMPUS STUDENTS

A staff person moderates the mailing lists for Dental, GMS, and SPH students. To send e-mail to these student mailing lists, forward your email to the following person who will then approve its delivery and send it for you. Dental students: email to SDMOSA@bu.edu,  GMS students: email to Dr. Hee-Young Park at hypark@bu.edu,  SPH students: email to Brendan at brendan2@bu.edu.
