in PRE-CLINICAL SCIENCES

GRADUATE SCIENCES

The EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR Awards were established to recognize, honor and reward those Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) faculty who give special effort to ensure the best education for BUSM students. Awards are given annually to outstanding educators of the 1) pre-clinical medical sciences, 2) clinical sciences, and 3) graduate sciences at BUSM. The recipients should be characterized by their excellence in teaching, mentoring and/or devotion to students. All BUSM faculty are eligible. Each student may nominate only one faculty member in a category. Each student may nominate one faculty member in each category from any of the faculty members that they have experienced thus far (e.g. a student in year 4 could nominate a faculty member from spring of year 1, if they thought this person was the best choice in a particular category.)

Note: 1. Group nominations (i.e. a group of students getting together to nominate a given faculty) will not be accepted. 2. The 2012 winners, Drs. Adam Hall, Megan Sandel, and Edward Feinberg, are ineligible in all categories for this year.
