Course or Clerkship Performance
The MEC shall direct the OME to meet with the course or clerkship director, ask for an explanation of why the particular standard was not met, work with the director to develop a plan for improvement, and request that the director present that plan to the MEC within two months .
Student Performance
For the NBME Parts One and Two CK, the MEC will require the OME to provide an analysis of subject performance within each examination.
For NBME subject (shelf) examinations, the MEC will ask the clerkship director to review the Item Analysis report provided by the NBME and to report on areas which can be improved.
For End of Year Assessments, the OME will provide a systematic process of review and remediation for those who do not meet the standard, and will report test and remediation results to the MEC.
