Research Interests
I am a third year Ph.D student working in the Layne Lab. My research focuses on the phenotypic modulation of vascular smooth muscle cells and the role that aortic carboxypeptidase-like protein plays in that change.
Publications
Schissel SL, Dunsmore SE, Liu X, Shine RW, Perrella MA, Layne MD. Aortic carboxypeptidase-like protein is expressed in fibrotic human lung and its absence protects against bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis. Am J Pathol 2009;174(3):818-828.
