Research Interests
To understand the complexities in the signaling outputs from the energy and nutrient sensors such as AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1), sirtuins, forkhead O (FoxO) transcription factors etc in the context of adipocyte biology. Specifically, I am studying molecular mechanisms of lipolysis and in particular, transcriptional regulation of rate-limiting lipolytic gene Adipose Triglyceride Lipase (ATGL).
