Welcome to the BUMC NWP

Our ‘Narrative Writing Program (NWP): Writing from the Front Lines of Clinical Care, Education, and Research’ provides faculty with the opportunity to develop narrative skills and competencies through reflective writing, reading, and listening. Participants share the goal of preparing at least one piece of writing to a form suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal/ newspaper/creative anthology/website by the end of the course.

The NWP was founded in 2018 by Christy Di Frances, PhD, MA, Sarah Wingerter, MD, and Emelia Benjamin, MD, ScM. Course Directors in AY 2019-20 are Sarah Wingerter, MD and Jennifer Beard, PhD, MPH, MA.
