  1. Where can I find detailed information about my benefits options online?

Please visit the Boston University Human Resources Health & Wellness website at: http://www.bu.edu/hr

  1. What is the BU Human Resources Service Center?

The Service Center is a main point of contact to direct your HR-related questions:

    • Benefits (including retirement)
    • Leaves (including FMLA)
    • New employee set up & orientation
    • Employee transactions (e.g. name changes, salary deductions)
    • HR records management (e.g. employment verification)
    • General inquiries

Please identify yourself as an BUMG member when contacting the Service Center.

  1. Where can I get more information about leave policies, including FMLA?

    BUMG members can review the BUMG Personnel Policies for their specific type of leave. To initiate a leave request, contact Matrix Absence Management at 877-202-0055 or online at MatrixAbsence.com.  For general questions, contact the BU Human Resources Service Center at (617) 353-2380. 

  2. Where can I find my salary and benefits information?

    You can login to BU Works ( http://www.bu.edu/buworks/ ) with your Boston University login credentials and find your salary and current benefits information listed under the Employee Self-Service tab. To learn more about using Employee Self Service, please visit: http://ppo.buw.bu.edu

    If you need further assistance please speak to your department’s Administrative Director or contact BU HR at (617) 353-2380.

  3. Are there Human Resources drop in times?

    Yes.  The BU HR Service Centers are open Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome at both locations. Please call (617) 353-2380 to schedule a time to speak to an HR representative if you have specific detailed questions.
