Connecting to the Boston University
Medical Campus (BUMC) Network & Internet
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at BUMC monitors and operates the networking infrastructure for the Goldman School of Dental Medicine, the School of Medicine, the School of Public Health, and the administrative groups for the Medical Campus.
The network infrastructure consists of fiber, copper, and microwave connections ranging in speed from T1 to Gigabit Ethernet. Desktop connections are, largely, Ethernet connections and there is a growing wireless presense on campus utilizing 802.11a and 802.11b networks.
