Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Exchange
Microsoft Outlook 2011 is our preferred client for the Mac, if you are using another mail client, please consider switching to Outlook 2011. These directions are for users with a BUMC Outlook/Exchange account. You can also access your email on the Mac through Outlook Web Access (OWA) at xmail.bu.edu.
If you have a BU Google Mail account, you should try the directions at TechWeb.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Exchange Accounts
First, ensure you are have the current version of Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 installed, previous versions of Microsoft Office for mac provided an alternate mail client called Entourage. If you do not have Microsoft Outlook 2011 and would like to upgrade, please contact the BUMC-IT Service Desk (here). Alternatively, Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 is available for download from BU’s IS&T site-licensed software section here (Kerberos credentials requried).
