Organizational Management System (OMS)
Financial & Business Affairs and Information Technology are pleased to announce a new web-based Organizational Management System (OMS), which allows Boston University Medical Campus departments to maintain information regarding institutionally designated roles and room occupancy.
Click here to access the application.
Through this portal, departments by
• designating the most appropriate contact for a variety of institutional roles such as Space Liaison, Budget Administrator, Life Safety Coordinator, and Faculty Action Coordinator, and
• updating occupancy data for departmental space
Will enable a comprehensive central repository of information, available to central administrative offices, to enhance communication and service to the departments that they support. For instance, communications regarding financial policy will be targeted more accurately to the appropriate persons, e.g., mail code coordinator, budget administrator, department head, etc. Similarly updated room occupancy data, which is critical to emergency management, will support more timely and targeted communications regarding facilities issues, e.g., scheduled power outages, elevator maintenance, etc.
An email address, BUMCroles@bu.edu, has been established to receive your questions, comments and issues for resolution. Emails to this address will be reviewed daily and triaged to the appropriate persons in Financial & Business Affairs, Information Technology, Facilities Management, etc. to respond with an answer to your question or to benefit from your comments.
We wish to thank our fellow development team members – Leon Brink, Pattie Duggan Greene, and Adam Kozaryn – who were integral to the OMS concept, technical design, and initial rollout.
