Emily Winter
Emily Winter is the Project Manager for Outreach, Marketing and Public Relations for the BU Healthcare Emergency Management (HEM) Program.
Emily is a second-year Master of Public Health candidate at BU School of Public Health. Her MPH emphasis areas include international health and managing disasters and complex humanitarian emergencies (MDCHE). Prior to joining HEM, Emily consulted for Physicians for Human Rights, where she worked on a medico-legal training program aiming to prevent war-related sexual violence in five Central and East African countries. Emily has worked as an Emergency Medical Technician, and serves in multiple disaster response roles, including with the MA Medical Reserve Corps, the Community Emergency Response Team of Brookline, and the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team.
As Project Manager, Emily works as the liaison between HEM and the public eye by establishing partnerships within the Consortium for Excellence in Healthcare Emergency Management; developing relationships with other entities on the federal, state, and local level; and managing HEM communications, website, and masters program course material.
