Call for Nominations for 2016 Metcalf and United Methodist Teaching Awards
The Office of the Provost welcomes faculty members, staff, students, and alumni to submit nominations for the 2016 Metcalf Cup and Prize and Metcalf Awards for Excellence in Teaching, as well as the 2016 United Methodist Scholar/Teacher of the Year Award.
Nominations for both awards are due Friday, October 2, 2015.
Please submit all nominations for the Metcalf Awards and the United Methodist Scholar/Teacher of the Year Award to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Affairs at email@example.com.
Blue Ribbon Panel Hears How to Respond to Biological and Chemical Threats
Dr. Len Singer, Medical Director of the Healthcare Emergency Management graduate program at Boston University Medical School, contends "that the common denominator to all disasters is human casualties, and, inasmuch, no other critical infrastructure and key resource sector resource will be at the epicenter of our readiness capacity. We can have all the best wishes in the world and all the best plans in the world,” he said, “but unless we have buy-in by the proper stakeholders” – hospital and health care system leadership – “we are in no better shape that we were pre-9/11.”
