Sarah Loth

I was born and raised in a small town outside of Boston and close to Cape Cod. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2011 at Saint Anselm College in Manchester New Hampshire, where I majored in Biology and minored in Neuroscience. I was part of a psychology lab where I partook in research analyzing people’s sensitivity to taste. In 2011, I entered Boston University’s Anatomy & Neurobiology program where I am currently participating in research under the direction of Dr. Kevin Thomas who is the director of the Healthcare Emergency Management (HEM) Program here at BU. We are analyzing the effectiveness of the START triage program by analyzing participants gaze upon patient triage images. This is the first of many directions and questions that this project can answer and we hope to analyze them all in years to come. Once I graduate in May I will be applying to medical school where I will continue my studies and hopefully follow my dreams of being a surgeon. Outside of school, I like to spend time with my friends, whether it’s trying out a new restaurant, going dancing, working out, or just relaxing on the beach.
