Metcalf Cup and Prize Winner: MED’s Deborah Vaughan
Her teaching formula: technology + professionalism = great doctors. Congratulations to Deborah Vaughan...
Jon graduated from the University of Rochester with a BS in molecular genetics. He is an MD/PhD student currently working on his doctoral thesis research in the laboratory of Bradley Hyman, MD, PhD. His research interests include understanding the effects of oligomeric species of amyloid-beta peptide in the brains of rhesus macaques and mice. Oligomeric amyloid-beta peptide has been shown to be a source of neurotoxicity in Alzheimer’s disease. A better understanding of these aggregated peptides is important for the rational design of future therapies for AD.
