Ana Amaral

My research focuses on studying some long-lasting effects of prenatal protein malnutrition on the adult rat brain.  I am particularly interested in identifying anatomical, functional, and epigenetic modifications that could underlie the attention-deficit phenotype observed in adult rats that were malnourished in utero.
