NEIDL: National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories

The biosafety lab will develop tests drugs vaccines and treatments for emerging infectious diseases. The lab's mission is to save lives through breakthrough treatments for diseases and illnesses. The testing and research conducted in the lab will find cures and help save lives all over the world.
This laboratory, located at 620 Albany Street, will contain approximately 194,000 gross square feet of state of the art BSL-2,3, and 4 laboratories, the high level containment labs are being designed and built using the strictest federal standards, incorporating special engineering design features to protect the researchers and the community.
