10/31 Electrical Shutdown: Housman R-building
On Thursday, Oct. 31, between 1-3 a.m., all electrical power will be shut down in the (R) Housman building.
IMPORTANT: All computers and copiers must be manually turned off before leaving the office on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The standby generator will run to maintain standby power to all electrical loads normally served by a generator.
If you have any experiments running overnight Oct. 30-31, please notify BU Facilities at (617) 358-9400, so that arrangements can be made.
10/31
- 1 a.m. – Power is shut off to perform the work required.
NOTE: R-building standby generator will run to maintain standby power to all electrical loads normally served by a generator.
- 3 a.m. – Power is restored to all areas. All standby generators will shut down shortly after power is resumed per normal operating procedures.
- 1-3 a.m. – Personnel will ensure all safety equipment and systems are operational.
- 1-3 a.m. – This shutdown will not exceed three hours, extension cords are not necessary. Please share any concerns if you have special situation.
